Solo Sunday at the River

Gill road on a Sunny Sunday!

I love this time of year when the water drops and you can drive past the point. The lower road is too muddy for me and my winter tires, so I stick to the higher road which has always been single lane only and usually the cause of a few pinstripes with all those branches!

Waiting my turn to go down to the point

I waited for a few trucks to come down and then headed down myself. The puddles are now just mud, but the road is still full of bumps!

The puddles mostly dried up into mud

I have had a lot going on with school, illness in the family, my kids and I got Covid last month, and I didn’t have the energy to get out and about, or to write a blog.

Then I realized it has been two months and that not every post has to be big, or researched and full of facts. Sometimes it can just be a piece of an adventure that happened at the spur of the moment, like this one!

I hadn’t even planned to go all the way down here, Gill road is about 15 minutes from my house and once I started driving, I decided that was where I was going!

I drove until I couldn’t drive any further, then I parked and enjoyed the scenery for awhile. I was only gone maybe an hour, but it was just the outing and reset that I needed.

So remember to get out there, even if it’s just for a little while.

There is so much darkness and fear in our world right now, it is important to remember that there is still light and love. Now, more than ever, we need to focus on that.

With light and love,
