School is out for Summer!!!

Here in British Columbia, school ends on a half day and we pick our kids up with their indoor shoes, leftover school supplies & report cards in hand.

Today was that day, and it was so bittersweet! My daughter was fortunate to have the same great teacher two years in a row, and my son’s teacher told him he might have him again next year – always a good sign when the teacher wants to have them again.

We have had a pretty cool Spring, so it was great to see Blue Sky & Hot Sunshine as we welcome Summer and end the school year!

Both of my kids had great report cards and I couldn’t be more proud. I bought them lunch to celebrate and I can’t wait for my knee to heal up so we can start hitting the lakes and rivers and swimming our days away!!

Do you have any “end of school year” traditions with your kids? Comment below if you do!

Our camping trips will be more sporadic this summer but we still hope to get a few local trips in (gas prices will prevent any destinations too far away)!

Thanks for reading and Enjoy Your Summer!!! Don’t put pressure on yourself to make memories every single day, just have fun and guess what? Your kids will probably have fun too!
